Ridiculous Hair for the Holidays

December 21, 2012
it doesn't look so bad here
I decided I wanted to do something out of the ordinary to my hair, something special, add some color. The intention was to look good for the upcoming New Year’s gathering in the hip resort area of Alona Beach, Panglao, Bohol.

I want back to Tata in Baybay. She’s the one who cut my hair when I made the big leap to short hair and I love it. I had pictures of how I wanted the coloring done like my daughter Haida’s hair with three colors, a lighter and darker ash brown and small streaks of dark burgundy as the third color.
seeing this little girl on my way to work made me feel better
Things didn’t go well. I had that uncomfortable experience of Tata seeking help from her workmate, shaking of heads, mutterings, wrapping and unwrapping the foiled strands, put under hot air, out from under hot air, unwrapping of foiled strands, more muttering and head shaking, reapplying of goop and back under hot air.

Five hours later I had something NOT AT ALL like the picture. It was horrible (sorry Tata) and now I had all sorts of holiday parties to attend. My hair looked like someone had taken a can of red spray paint to it.
OMG this is awful and I'm stuck with it

People here are very nice and polite. We all pretended I didn’t look ridiculous. I avoided mirrors and was glad I didn’t have to look at my self.

Know that I’m so vain I’m only sharing the so so bad looking pictures.

GelBoy
Sweet little KatKat. I loved her so much and miss her. She was given to a relative in Ormoc
