Shane, Olive, Peter, Ernest and Litang. I wish Takazie, Arceli and JohnJohn could have been there but after Takazie made several trips delivering all the food with his motor/tricycle, he had to go and stay with Lola, his mom, and Arceli had to
(wo)man the sari-sari store and JohnJohn was working. |
On the 13
th we had our Hangdog going away party.
It was held at Zak’s host family’s house where they have a nice place to
gather.

Ning adjusting the necklace she and Karusty made for me. They were so sweet to make one for each of us. Each one has a shell from the Sabang beach. |
My family prepared the food. My family was always preparing food.

Takazie bringing the food |
We played games, sang videoke and took lots of pictures with our families.

This was a relay race of passing a little kumquat sized green lemon |

Bojon, our driver and unsung hero. If not for him we wouldn't have been able to accomplish much or stayed safe and healthy. With training over his contractual work is done and he goes back to northern Luzon where he works as a guide. Guess who I'll be calling when it's time to make the trip to see the eighth wonder of the world?
The 3000 year old Rice Terraces. |

Sadly, Ali and Shevy were still in the hospital in
Manila with dengue fever. That's six from CRM who've come down with dengue. In every case it was after being in Subic that they became ill. Their
things were packed for them because they wouldn't be able to return to Sabang but they'll be able to meet us in Manila
for swearing in.
On the 14
th
we had a get together on the beach with a bon fire. This was a time to have
closure with our training staff JoJo and Chai, our technical trainers and Yoli,
Yasmin and DenDen, language and cultural trainers and Bojan, our driver.
